Enterprise 2009 - Saturday 25th April 2009

"Tall oaks from little acorns grow" - A quote from D Everett 1797. He was actually talking about how a tadpole grows into a big frog... But we felt it was, kind of, apt ;)

This year's Worthing First Enterprise 2009 takes place at The Charmandean, Worthing on Saturday 25th April. The event is totally FREE and set to attract between 700 and 1000 visitors.

The annual Enterprise Business Fair is a free exhibition for all those who run a small or home-based business and also for anyone who has been thinking about making the break from their normal job and working for themselves.

With over 50 exhibitors from companies such as the VAT office, banks, web design companies and solicitors, you will find every useful contact you could ever need to start your business all on one day, all under the same roof.

There's no need to pre-register for this. An area has been set aside for the clinic, which will be manned by business people who are more than qualified to listen to your ideas/questions/troubles.

This is the third year we have ran this event. Formally known as 'MicroBiz' - Due to trademarking issues, 2008 was the last year Worthing First were able to call this event 'MicroBiz' - Trademark was reeled back in by Horsham Council, who trademarked the brand 'MicroBiz' - Therefore Worthing First have adopted the word 'Enterprise' Fair to move the annual event forward. This is a very positive step, as the word 'microbiz' was often looked upon as a negative word, meaning both 'tiny' - which the Enterprise Fair is not about... and 'computers' again not what the Enterprise Fair is about. So, we've moved away from MicroBiz - Enterprise is the future ;) (for over twenty years, our schools have taught the word 'enterprise' through 'enterprise days' to mean 'business minded' and 'entrepreneur' - hence our adoption. If we can connect with our youth and inspire them to do business, then we're on the right track.
