Ref: Insert Ticket Number / Insert Vehicle Reg Informal Challenge against a Parking Ticket (1) Vehicle and location details I wish to challenge the ticket issued against my vehicle (registration no ***) at (time) on (date) at (name of location). You will note that this challenge has been sent so as to be received by you within 14 days of the ticket being issued. (2) Grounds for challenge – loading/unloading At the time the ticket was issued, the vehicle was loading/unloading business goods to (name and address of business). The driver of the vehicle was moving between the vehicle and the premises for no more than (time in minutes) minutes. There were no convenient alternatives and the vehicle was not causing an obstruction. My understanding is that drivers of cars are usually allowed to stop to load or unload whilst on yellow lines if the items are heavy or bulky or if the driver has a large number of items which would involve more than one trip. Obviously, the vehicle must be moved after the delivery or collection has taken place. Please consider the above challenge carefully. The vehicle was loading/unloading and no abuse of the system was intended or occurred. I look forward to receiving confirmation of the outcome of this appeal and confirm that if rejected, I will send a formal Notice of Appeal to Worthing Borough Council.
