Worthing backs £150 million leisure, residential and retail project

Hanson Capital’s Tevillegate project steps firmly forward now that Planning Permission has been approved unanimously by Worthing Borough Council’s Planning Committee.

Savills (L&P) and Michael Jones have been appointed as letting agents for Hanson Capital and discussions are well advanced with prospective commercial tenants for the extensive leisure and retail facilities. Enquiries have already been received for the stunning new residential apartments.

Tevillegate will* include:

  • A swimming pool, sports and fitness complex
  • A multi-screen cinema
  • A 24-lane 10-pin bowling centre
  • A 750-seat bingo club
  • Shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and event areas
  • Over 250 new homes
  • New landscaped public spaces with outdoor cafes, seating and a partially covered pedestrian arcade
  • Public and private roof terraces and gardens
  • 635 car parking spaces
  • Cycle way and cycle parking

Yes. Now this is where it all starts... Some solid commitment from óutside the box' This has been the linchpin on Worthings future progession. JC

Looking at the plans briefly... looks like tha VAT office is staying put. Lets hope they put a 'new skin' on it (like the refurbed Shoreham Port building on the coast road). JC
