The decision was made earlier this year to share the awards with the EDRP. The awards are now a joint event, through members of the Economic Development and Regeneration Partnership (EDRP). Originated by Worthing First in 2007, The awards were handed over to EDRP to ensure their continual success during these hard times, being treated as a joint event for all Worthing business organisations to equally contribute to a great event. The ceremony is the finale of months of nominations and judging for the town's best businesses. Following meetings earlier this year between The Awards committee and The Worthing Herald, The Herald agreed to get involved with both the sponsorship, promotion and running of the awards. The EDRP still controling the event and the judging, with The Herald ensuring the event and nominations gets all the publicity is deserves. Nominations begin on 4th June 2010, ending around 31st August 2010 - for more info on the nominations, please click HERE.
